Introducing Vino in the Vault
We're really excited to be introducing Vino in the Vault. A series of wine tastings, hosted in the former Bank Vault with some of London's most exciting natural wine importers. Sam, our resident wine expert and natural wine enthusiast will be joined by our friends from each supplier who will spend the evening sharing the passion and knowledge.
The people we work with
Wines Under the Bonnet was born in 2015 with a passion for natural wines and a very simple idea: to promote UK-wide naturally made wines that they love to drink. The team at Wines Under the Bonnet pride themselves on the direct relationships they have with the growers they work with, taking the time to understand their wines.
As Basile hails from the Muscadet area, it was only natural to first focus on the diverse wines of the Loire. Since then, however, their vine has spread to embrace the rest of France, UK, Germany, Italy and Chile
Otros Vinos celebrates lesser known wines from across Spain, championing producers that work with challenging and unusual topography. From the salty, windswept albariza plots of Cadíz, to the exposed, dizzyingly steep and staggeringly high slate slopes of the Alpujarras, the Spanish landmass is historically and geographically rich in winemaking potential and strength.
From amongst this wide and varied landmass Otros Vinos represents a handful of small artisan winemakers, growers they know and trust, making wines they love. All of these producers work small vineyards, farm organically or biodynamically, and practice as little intervention in the cellar as possible.
Tutto began in the spring of 2012 out of a desire to share the kind of wines that the team love to drink, working specifically with artisans who farm without using any chemicals in the vines who refuse to manipulate the wines in the cellar.
Originally focussed on Italy their curiosity and the search for great wine led Tutto to talented producers from across Europe and as far away as Australia. Their goal has always been one thing, to remove the distance between the growers and the people who drink their wines.
Wright’s Wines offer wines of real character, wildly varying in style and bearing the imprint of where they come from, the people who made them and the vagaries of climate.
They tend to be low in added sulphur, reliant on natural yeasts rather than laboratory ones and are generally much less interfered with than the majority of wine on the market.
